Once you decide to surrender to the sailing lifestyle, there are many things you can do to learn, build community, compete, and much more!
This part of the site will be an ongoing work in progress because it will take me some time to get as much information organized as possible.
There are many types of organizations that support the sport of sailing at the global, national, regional, and local levels. Becoming involved in organizations will introduce you to lots of people who can help you develop skills, find boats and crew, and experience the camaraderie that is so unique to the sailing community!
Sailing is as simple or complicated as you make it, and the gear required can be as simple as a life preserver and sunglasses, or complex and fill every storage space in your life. Whatever your sailing goals or budget, there is gear to suit your needs!

I'm not a naval architect, and sailors will debate the pros and cons of various boat designs and manufacturers until kingdom come, but I'll throw out a few considerations here.
